Overview

2000 years after Jesus gave the church the Great Commission, there are still over 3 billion people who are unreached. Thousands of people groups don’t have a church yet. This will not change unless believers leave their homes and go to these darkened places to preach the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ and establish biblical churches. 

To this end, Westlynn Baptist Church is hosting an immersive Missionary Training designed to equip, challenge, and encourage those who are exploring God’s heart for the nations. This training is especially geared toward individuals who sense that the Lord may be leading them into missions, as well as those who simply desire to gain a deeper understanding on this topic. 

This will be an in-person, 2-day with overnight training held Westlynn church building, with participants sleeping overnight on-site.

Who Should Attend?

Besides instruction, this training is geared toward those seeking a practical understanding of the rigors and joys of life on the mission field:

· Primarily Young Adults ages 19+ who are considering missions. Those who are simply seeking to learn more about missions are also invited to join. 

· High School students may attend by exception, if they demonstrate serious interest in this area, as well as maturity.

What to Expect

· Teaching on biblical foundations for missions by experienced missionaries and pastors from around the world. 

· Teaching and discussion on calling and preparation

· Practical insights into missionary life and service through testimonies

· Times of prayer, fasting, reflection, and outreach

Lodging & Meals

Participants will be staying overnight at the church and meals will be provided (except during times of fasting). More specific details regarding sleeping arrangements, meals, and what to bring will be shared closer to the event. Expect simplicity in both food and accommodations.

The cost for this 2-day training is $20. We purposefully have tried to keep the costs low, but please contact us if you would like to come and don’t have the means. Please be aware that your Pastor needs to be aware and in support of you coming to this training.
